Not evil, no, but both of them are places that humans shouldn't go to, at least if they don't want to be hurt in some way. The abyss erodes a person and hell corrupts a person. Both generally aren't good. Maybe a stronger person could avoid either, but... that's what I'm working on being. Stronger.
