Oh, I'm quite sure it was before that.

[Well, he's not a person that expends effort if he doesn't have to so he'll keep the wet rat look for the moment.

The creature does fall further and further and further away. Maybe it hits the planet below? Who knows!

He was about to say something, but gives him a look for the last comment and snaps his fingers.

The platform begins to crack pieces breaking off.]

I did.

[The platform is becoming smaller and smaller! So come cuddle!]

I am actually not upset. I want him to flourish, however, he chooses.

[Okay. Maybe he is a little jealous but at least he's aware enough to know it is on him. But that doesn't mean he won't be a little petty.]

But you wanted something exciting to fight. Though truly I imagine you simply want adrenaline to pour through your veins. To bask in it. To feel that moment of uncertainty if victory is assured.

Is that so? Then I suppose you ought to know something.

[He leans in tilting his head and speaking directly into his ear.]

... You are a bit too young for me.

[And then he puts both hand on his chest and shoves.]

I thought this was your definition of fun.

[Well, the shoving is unsuccessful, but the rest of the platform does give away, but Emet has a feeling that he won't be the only one floating in midair.]

[He is more amused than anything at the pat. At the change in look. The teeth.]

How curious. You grow more intriguing.

[Guess the both of them are simply going to float in the air.]

You seem under the impression that I'm going to make a good playmate for fighting.

Would you believe I came from a peaceful utopia? Battles such as this were for recreation and academics only.

Besides, I would hardly play fair.

[And he won't! Caeli will feel something in his head trying to 'push' his personality down. Not squash or destroy it, but simply wrap it in a cocoon. An inaccessible cocoon.]

You wanted something to fight. I wanted to recall something appropriately... disturbing.

[That is curious! The thing in his head circles it, more academically than trying to injure it, poking and prodding.]

Now what is this?

A monster born of fear. Was that not apparent?

[He'll pull back when it gets agitated enough to lash out not wanting to dig deeper into that for the moment.]

The blight surrounding your soul.

[personal profile] firstworldproblem 2021-06-24 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
Your soul, actually. There is a difference.

[Well!

Well.

The dream will actually bend to his will. As if the ability was given to him, because he's being giving Cosmo and Five control over the dreams of late when resting on reflex.

All around him is the sound of breaking glass. Loud and overpowering and reverberating in his bones. And Emet's face does pale for it.]

[He doesn't even really look at him as the hand moves under his chin, but once he speaks his eyes snaps to his and he growls.]

Get out.

[And he has enough control over the dreams that he could wander back into his own dream if he did so desire.]
