I don’t think you’ll find the answers in those books. Perhaps a few scattered, but this place doesn’t exactly follow a strict set of rules.

No. Just regular old stoves. I just meant since I'm already standing in front of the stove I could do it for you.

Or you can just have some of the soup I'm making. That could probably help too. You shouldn't drink on an empty stomach.

And that's the point of this. If you manage to graduate, then you can either stay, here, in Hell or go home...

I get the feeling he'd choose Heaven and going home. It's become a popular choice as of late, and I don't know why some people would throw away everything to stay in such an awful place. But neither you nor him can go anywhere until you're together again, so don't go graduating too quick.

What did you two end up doing while he was here?

Not that much. We hung out a few times. I took a memory. Did th' puzzle room thing.

[ In retrospect, it was time squandered, and she regrets not doing more with him. But she was afraid of getting attached to someone she knew was going to disappear again--what that might do to her. But it didn't really matter, because here she is now--and she deprived Aether of an opportunity to really be around her as much. ]

…you could have spent no time at all together, but you managed that much in between that stupid game we had to play on and off. I’m sure he’ll cherish those memories while he fights to get back here.

We got our asses beat. I'm not sure he's going to cherish that so much...

Anytime spent with a sibling, a friend, or even a lover is time well spent, even if it may not be under the best circumstances and conditions.

... I didn't even remember him. I'm not sure it really counts as spending time with his sister.

But you do now, don’t you, even if it’s just a few small snippets. He’s been looking for you, so remembered or not I’m sure this was something he cherished.
