[ slaps him in the face with a water tentacle as he manifests a polearm; sparks dancing along it as he gives it a swirl. ] I hope you're ready to lose. [ and with that he lunges at kaeya, sweeping low to knock him off balance. ]

Personally I think this is a win/win situation for us both, don't you?

[He dodges that first sweep, and retaliates with a spray of icicles -- but his reaction times are definitely slower than usual. There's a certain sluggishness, mental more than physical, his thoughts still just a bit foggy even though he's mostly regained himself.]

[ childe takes the brunt of the icicles to be able to slash at kaeya with the electro infused hydro blade. a gush of water surges up from behind him, a number of tentacles slithering after the two of therm, so if kaeya tries to dodge, then childe may be able to snare him~ ]

And cryo is, as always, strong vs hydro, so his bursts of ice are helpful. But he's still going to get his off-hand snagged soon enough.]

[ it IS good against cyro, but childe can manipulate more than one element, so the tentacle that's taken his off wrist is going to hang on tight while a surge of electro travels up it to shock him. ]

Why does everybody hate them so much. Don't you know they could help me make you feel real good, Pavo.

[He flinches at the shock, of course, but stubbornly doesn't let go of his sword, letting ice creep up the tentacle, threatening to shatter it.]

Did you not figure out I dislike them when you were running around in my head? Really, I thought you more observant.

[ childe doesn’t make an effort to stop him from breaking it, and since it seems like he’s thoroughly distracted he knees him straight in the stomach and shoved him backward, a hydro polearm materializing in his hands, so he can jab it straight into his chest. ]

You hated me before and suddenly that changed. Who’s to say your feelings on *then* can change either. But if they really do make you uncomfortable… [ kill it. ]

He does stumble though, takes the jab -- and it makes him mad. He should be better than this. Why is he still so... so off?!]
