[ childe nods, all of this still sinking in. he's feeling so... heavy right now. dozens of emotions just dragging him down. he can't believe he's leaving. he's happy for him, of course, but he also just... doesn't want him to go. yeah, there are a few ways they can still communicate and see each other, but it's not the same. his gaze drops into his lap as the color just drains from his eyes. ] ...you'll get the rest you deserve eventually. Is there anything you'd like to do before you go?
I... I know, but that doesn't make this hurt any less. [ going to drag him toward the front door, not even bothering to put anymore layers on. he's fine, and if hades needs something he's sure he'll say something. otherwise, he's just going to keep a firm hold on his hand and drag him down to the lake. ]
[Once he figures out the location, he picks him up carrying him the rest of the way.]
You will have to find a way of dragging me to the snow. Either here or to the mountain. But that is a problem for a later time. Shall we focus on the here and now?
If you're choosing Hell's route... don't you get to keep your abilities? Maybe we can still meet in... dreams. I know that's not a real mountain, but [ he shrugs a little helplessly. ] I think you might have to wait until you can come visit Snezhnaya or I can go see you.
But, yes, it's pretty generous that you get both. [ he does manage a small smile at the mention of his home. ] I'll have to introduce you to my mother and my siblings.
...even if I hadn't been pulled here it's not like I got to go home all that often. I'm out in other nations on missions. I only get to stop in for a couple of weeks, if even, in between them. The last time I stopped by my parent's house was because one of my fellow Harbingers died and I went back to Snezhnaya for her funeral.
I knew what I was getting into when I became a Harbinger. But I believe in her Majesty and her goal. I want to see it through to the end with her.
But, yes, we can all go ice fishing together. I'm sure my siblings would love trying to climb all over you, and I do hope you'll indulge them in a couple of stories from your own star.
You just want to injure my back further, don't you? But don't worry. I will weave tales of my star and of our friendship made here. Both are worth telling after all.
I think you'll be able to grin and bear it, at least for a few minutes. It'll be worth it for their smiles, Hades. But I'd appreciate it, because they love that kind of thing. [ he smiles, pawing at his chest. ] I'll be excited to hear how you tell them of our friendship.
I know you would, and I know they would adore you in turn. I'm sure you and my mother would get along like a couple of old friends... and I don't doubt that you'd both be able to embarrass me within minutes. [ shuts his eyes, the pawing becoming more like clinging. ] ...I'm sure too, honestly. [ said a touch more quietly. ]
I know. I know. [ he falls silent for a few minutes. losing zhongli had been terrible, but at least there was a chance he could come back. this is... this is different. hades and five are going for good. and until he graduates he just... not going to be able to spend time with them like he used to. he clenches his jaw, nodding along with what he's saying. he'd answer, but his voice would betray him and likely crack. he's not okay. ]
And you're certain you'll be able to make it to Teyvat? Because I would like that, but... a broken promise... [ is something he takes incredibly seriously. ]
My wish is to be able for you, me, for all those I associate with to travel to each other's home stars. So I suppose it will have to be on the contingency that wishes actually do work. Not that I won't try find my own way there.
...I appreciate that you'll try either way, [ since he's not sure if they can trust these bastards to follow through with anything. ] so yeah... thank you, Hades.

[He ruffles his hair though to keep the mood light.]
I simply wish to spend time with you. That is why I am here.

This is not goodbye, my Tempest. I've had my fill of those for a thousand lifetimes.

Re: 506
It seems rather peaceful. I'm almost sad you had to leave it behind.

Grin and bear it, he says. I would adore your family. Each and everyone. Why, I'm sure I can turn them against you in a teasing like manner.
