Where did you get them anyway? I do need to get a weapon of my own, but I wouldn't mind using one of yours for this, since it'll probably be a while before I can finagle something.
You can exchange a token for a weapon, or you could talk to someone like Donatello on Robins' Egg. He's great at making things.
[ and then she just. reaches back. grabs one of her own primary feathers ]
[ tugs it right on out of her wing … which promptly causes it to sharpen. this feather is now a good, sturdy, well-weighted blade. still a feather. but sword? feathersword. ]
[ he's heard about the tokens, but he's never seen what they're capable of. he just kind of figured he'd able to get his own powers back, so when she tugs out a feather and it ( kind of ) turns into a sword he just stares... ]
[ takes a few steps back, pulling a not!apple out of an inner pocket. she tosses it once, low, and tosses it again, higher. just as it starts to tumble back down, she swings the feathersword up, neatly severing it in half, AND!
[ takes the apple half and om noms. ] Does that mean the power you choose can be anything? Are there any restrictions? Oh man, I had been excited to get one before, but now I'm triply excited. [ power token power token power token. ]
...hm, good to know. I think I'll save my vision and delusion as things to get if I ever get an item from home token, and as for new powers, man, the sky's the limit... mostly. [ he's thoroughly excited. ]
[ Audition. Audition - oh! Oh, right, yes. She remembers that word. ]
I'm almost always down for a spar these days. [ Her fighty instinct has gone from a little candle to a nice toasty bonfire. ] And sometimes the woods can be good stress relief.

... Based on what you saw when we were on Wild City together, on a scale of one to ten where one is "you'd have better luck walking on water":
How likely is it that I could have beaten you in a spar if you were taking it seriously?

[ flicks the notapple halves up into the air again, quickly "sheathing" the blade so that she's got her hands free to catch them ]

Like ... oh! If I'd wanted water magic, I'd be able to, say, fire it like a hose, but I wouldn't be able to summon a tsunami to flatten the village.

But! Whatever you get, you've got to come show it off for me, okay?

But, yes, absolutely. And if we fight before then with our powers, then we've absolutely got to have a rematch, so I can show you them in action.

I'll be looking forward to it! It's always more fun to go out there with company. Safer, too. Some of those monsters are rude.

— there was this one monster that hits you with, uh, depowering gunk. It was just the worst, Caeli-san, zero out of five stars. [ bees what bees. ]
