[ childe had gotten up at the butt crack of dawn to start on the preparations for tonight, namely starting zhongli’s six hour soup. he had to just pray he didn’t mess it up, since there wouldn’t be another opportunity to redo it with how many other things he has to take care of. ]

[ on reaching wc be heads to his room and the grate in his cave, so they can cook in peace. the trek through the snow sucks, since he’s not going to turn into anything to make it go faster, but he’s definitely trying to keep five warm the entire time. ]

[ it's a lot warmer in Childe's clothes, at least, so he won't complain. And once they are inside he will peek out of them, shifting and moving so he can climb on his shoulder again ]
