I intend to speak with him once we find him, but my understanding is that it's a marriage built on coercion rather than anything else.

How about dragging him to the deadzone so his abilities don't work and then tying him up? I'm sure you could all dig a ditch to throw him in or something. Nobody's going to go looking if he's an asshole.
