Because I want to become stronger. The strongest, actually. And I'm not going to be able to do that if I sit around and let my reflexes dull and my swords rust. [ he chuckles. ] And it's exhilarating! I feel alive when I'm crossing blades with a tough opponent.

Just like I had met a version of you I met a version of him, but it wasn’t the same one from my Teyvat… if that makes sense. A different series of events had happened, causing a number of serious changes. But we grew close and… a- anyway, Mochi might be the one from my Teyvat and while we’ve both experienced a number of things since we last saw each other there it’s hard to completely feel… nothing…

…mm. I know some of what happened, but we’re not close enough that I would bring it up unprompted. If nothing else, I just want him to be happy. [ he deserves it then and he deserves it now. ]

Maybe not as intensely. Most of us Harbingers don’t care for each other, because we’re all there for our own reasons… but I always enjoyed sparring with him, when he’d indulge me, of course, and I had even gotten to see another side of him once or twice. It was cute, eye-opening too…

But, ah h- Hah, I’m pretty sure he couldn’t stand me though… [ a forced laugh that tapers quickly. ]
