[ answers the door with a bright smile, his tail wagging the moment he sees zhongli. ] Xiansheng! [ reaches to take his hand, so he can drag him into a quick kiss. ]

[ Adorable.

He chuckles at the greeting, returning this kiss and wrapping his arms around Childe in a brief hug before pulling back. ]

I'm happy to see you, too, Childe.

[ He's already dressed in the winter coat so graciously funded by the Harbinger and excitedly presenting a book specifically on the Sayama Indoor Skiing Ground. ]

I thought we might go on an excursion today like we did back in Liyue.

[childeishly]

And you want to go to the Ski Ground? [ he knows zhongli isn't really all that fond of cold weather, but the thought of getting to spend time with him doing some snowy activities has him excited. ]

Sure. You know I have a hard time saying no to you, right? [ he gives him another kiss. ] I'm guessing we'll be staying the night, yeah, so do you want to help me pack real quick?

[leaveofabsence]

Yes. I thought it would be enjoyable to watch the sun set and rise over the snow. It is not something that happens often in Liyue. So I thought we might enjoy that moment while we can.

[childeishly]

[ he does miss snezhnaya. even before he got pulled here it had been some time since he was home… ] That sounds great, Xiansheng. I haven’t had a chance to go to the lodge, but if I’m to go with anybody [ squeezes his hand and tugs him inside. ] I’m glad it’s you.

[ As he's tugged inside. ]

I do not know if there is anyone who can appreciate such a place more than you. I am honored to be able to accompany you.

[ he’s going to head to his room and change into something more appropriate, and then grab another pair of clothes, which he just stuffs into a bag. ]

If we need anything specific I can always have it delivered, but it’ll be nice to get away from all of this… even if it’s just for a day.

Yes, I can also have my exuvia pick it up. No need to bring anything but yourself, a change of clothes and perhaps a drink if you think you'll want one.

[ He slips his arm through Childe's unoccupied one when he does and start leading them back toward the door ]

[ oh, so then he’s good to go. he slings there bag over his free shoulder and trails after zhongli. ]

Do you want me to drive there or did you plan to have your Exuvia drop us off?

How about you drive there? I have yet to experience you properly behind the wheel. I'm sure it will be an enlightening experience.

[childeishly]

[ his tail starts wagging. ] Oh, I think you'll enjoy yourself, Xiansheng. I've been practicing! [ at going fast. ] And I'll be able to get us there in no time at all, certainly faster than any other methods.

c'Mon. [ going to quickly take the lead and drag him back down to the lobby and eventually the attached garage where his car is kept. ] You better buckle up, Xiansheng. [ climbs inside and starts it up. ] It's going to be a wild ride~

[ Leans over to press a kiss to Childe's cheek before tossing their luggage in the backseat and climbing in the passenger's seat. ]

I'm sure it will be.

[childeishly]

[ he’s going to drive like he’s racing somebody the entire way there, though he is trying to be somewhat careful, because of the precious cargo he’s got with him. they make it there in a record time and childe pulls into the parking lot, turning to flash zhongli a smile. ]

What did you think?

[ He laughs. Fondly. ]

I see speed signs are just a suggestion for you.

[ And he steps out the car to get their belongings. ]

Now according to the guidebook, we should rent out the executive suite for the best view and access to the more adventurous slopes.

[childeishly]

[ he laughs along with zhongli. ] It’s called a speed suggestion! And who is going to pull me over anyway?

Oh, sounds fancy. [ don’t mind him moving to zhongli’s side of the car and just sweeping him off his feet in a bridal carry. ] Let me take you there, Xiansheng.

[leaveofabsence]

[ He was already thumbing through the book again when Childe sweeps him up into his arms, completely unprepared. As a result, he flushes red all the way to the tip of his ears as he instinctively grips the front of his coat. ]

Ah...

[childeishly]

[ childe brushes his lips across zhongli's forehead with a smile, dropping a kiss onto it shortly after. ] You look really cute when you're blushing, Xiansheng.

[ just going to carry him to the executive suite. ]

[ Making an aborted motion toward the back of the car ]

[ And when they are in the suite, he clasps his hands to Childe's cheeks, forcing him to look at him directly before kissing him soundly. ]

I try to plan a perfect date for you. One as touching and memorable as the lantern rite night you prepared for me. And yet you always outmaneuver me so easily.

Please teach me. I want to learn.

[childeishly]

I can get it later. I’m not too concerned about, what, an extra set of clothes! Pah, I’m sure we can buy stuff here.

[ he sets zhongli down and makes a strange and slightly muffled sound as his cheeks as squished and he’s kissed. ] I haven’t outmaneuvered you, Xiansheng. And we only just got here! There’s plenty of time to ‘wow’ me, though… if I’m being honest any time with you is some of the best. I’m really looking forward to everything we can do here together.

[leaveofabsence]

[ And his hands drop from Childe's cheeks to smooth over his shoulders before Zhongli begins fussing with his collar. ]

What would you like to do first?

We could go enjoy the snow outside. Or perhaps the scenery from the comfort of the suite. Or we could order room service if you'd like something to eat or drink.

[childeishly]

Let’s go out into the slopes first, and then once we’ve had our fill we can order room service and relax in the hot tub. [ but he is itching to get out there and play in the snow! ] We should probably check out the shop here for equipment.

[leaveofabsence]

Yes.

[ And he sets his book on the nightstand before getting to his feet, attempting to pull Childe up by their joined hands. ]

If I had to make a guess---

Are you one to prefer snowboarding over skiing?

[childeishly]

You’d be right, Xiansheng, though both can be fun in their own way. Which are you going to try? [ let’s himself be pulled up. ] And did you want to try out one of the smaller slopes to get your ski legs or just jump right into it?

[leaveofabsence]

Smaller slopes?

[ As if this had never even occurred to him. ]

Ah. No. I think I can handle whatever you can. But I appreciate you being concerned about my well being.
